ABOUT THE PROJECT

RAUW researches performance/performing/life.

A short introduction:

What does it mean, being a performer/artist? Do you need a stage? Do you need money? How easily available is the stage? Is it possible to be raw? To perform everyday? When is a live action called performance or art or poetry? When the performer/artist decides so? When he has some basic rules? 


I decide a starttime, an endtime and a place and I invite people (twitter) AND I will be very aware of my performing/making.


All the above questions -and many more- form the base of my ongoing research. I think the highest form of performance/art is life itself... I have a calling to be an artist/performer, this means my art/performance started with my first inhalation and ends with my last exhalation. On this blog I collect parts of my life as art/performance on a daily, one-year (365 days) base.


Performance is my main practice.
RAUW can be considered as being a day-by-day sketchbook, a full-grown project and a research on performance attitudes and forms.
RAUW is a multi-disciplinary project.


As a RAUW performer I want to be intense, I want to be out there, I want to be full of awareness. This is what I will be throughout this blog.


RAUW MEANS I WILL BE PLAYING THE ROLE OF MY LIFE.
